Privacy Policy

This policy explains what data Ketomi collects, why, and how you can control it. We keep it short and honest.
Who we are
Ketomi is operated by Silenrock OÜ, a company registered in Estonia. Contact: hello@ketomi.app.
What we collect
- Account data: email address, name, preferred language, password (stored as a hash, never plain text).
- Profile data you enter: height, date of birth, sex, goal weight, country, health notes, food preferences.
- Tracking data you log: weight, body measurements, meals (including photos), water intake, wellness entries, fasting sessions.
- Chat with Avo: messages you send to the AI coach and its responses.
- Technical data: IP address (only during registration, to rate-limit spam), anonymous page-view counts via self-hosted Umami analytics (no cookies, no tracking across sites).
- Payment data (when you subscribe): handled by Stripe (web) or Google Play Billing (Android app). We only receive the subscription status and a customer/purchase identifier, never your card details.
Why we collect it
- To provide the service: track your progress, give personalized AI coaching.
- To send reminders and account emails (verification, password reset, weight reminders).
- To detect abuse (rate-limiting signups).
- To improve the app (aggregate page-view counts, never individual tracking).
Who we share it with
A few third parties process your data on our behalf:
- Brevo (email delivery) -- receives your email address to send transactional emails.
- OpenRouter (AI model routing) -- receives chat messages and meal photos to generate AI responses. Messages are not used to train models.
- Stripe (web payments, if you subscribe via the website) -- receives your email and payment details. See Stripe's privacy policy.
- Google Play Billing (in-app payments, if you subscribe via the Android app) -- handled entirely by Google. We only receive a purchase token to confirm your subscription is active. See Google's payment privacy notice.
- DigitalOcean (hosting) -- our servers are hosted in the EU.
We do not sell your data to advertisers. Ever.
How long we keep it
We keep your data for as long as your account exists. When you delete your account, all your personal data (meals, weights, chat history, photos) is permanently deleted within 30 days. Backups are retained for up to 90 days, then also deleted.
Your rights (GDPR)
If you're in the EU or UK, you have the right to:
- Request a copy of your data
- Correct inaccurate data
- Delete your account and data ("right to be forgotten")
- Export your data in a portable format
- Object to specific processing

Children
Ketomi is not intended for users under 18. We do not knowingly collect data from children.
Health disclaimer
Ketomi provides general nutrition guidance, not medical advice. Always consult your doctor before starting a ketogenic diet, especially if you have diabetes, kidney disease, or take medication. See our Terms of Service for details.
Changes
If we update this policy, we'll email you and show a notice in the app. The "last updated" date above will reflect any change.
